The Sweet Relief Musicians Fund has teamed up with Superstar Producer Paul Fox, digital media marketing giant Subset M and legendary recording facility Sound City Studios to create a song writing contest that really matters.

 

A once in a lifetime recording and marketing package has been assembled that will offer the grand prize winner an opportunity to record, produce, mix and master their winning submission with an all-star team of professionals in Los Angeles, CA.  In addition the winning artist and their song will receive a multi level digital marketing package, nation press coverage as well as featured placement on a multitude of music industry web sites and social networks.

All proceeds from The National Song Writing Contest for a Cause will go to benefit career musicians facing financial despair due to illness, disability or age related problems through Sweet Relief Musicians Fund.

 

Song contest submissions begin on August 17th and will continue thru October 19, 2009.  Contest submission entry is $25 and all applicants will receive a tax deductable receipt for this worthy charitable cause.

 

Grand Prize Package includes

  • Recording session with producer Paul Fox and engineer Jeff Tomei at Sound City Studios in LA ($15,000 value)
  • Mixing Session with Matt Wallace ($3,000 value)
  • Premiere studio musicians if required ($2,000 value)
  • National media marketing package provided by Subset M ($4,000 value)
  • Airfare to Los Angeles for up to 4 persons (up to $1,600)
  • Accommodations for 4 (two nights / maximum $800)
  • Featured web placement on sweetrelief.org, and other music industry and social networking portals.

Music Genres for this contest include -Acoustic, Adult Contemporary, Alternative, Americana, Blues, Classic Rock, Folk, Funk, Goth, Hip-Hop/Rap, Jam Band, Jazz, Pop, Punk, Reggae, Rock, Singer/Songwriter, Soul, Urban/R&B, and World

Prizes and media placement will also be offered for runners up and highest rated within each music genre
