TV ON THE RADIO WRAP UP THEIR 2009 TOUR WITH

A HOMETOWN CONCERT ON AUGUST 11TH

AT BROOKLYN’S PROSPECT PARK

TICKETS ON-SALE MAY 8TH

(April 30, 2009 — New York, NY) Hot off the heels of appearances on The Tonight Show, SNL and The Colbert Report, TV On The Radio are taking the TV On The Radio TV show on the road! Their spring tour, which continues through mid-June and makes stops at New York City’s Central Park Summerstage on June 5th, and the Bonnaroo Music Festival on June 12th. The band will wrap up their tour at the end of summer to perform a concert at Brooklyn’s Prospect Park on August 11th, 2009.

Fans who purchase tickets online or in person will be given the option of adding one dollar to the ticket price to donate to The Scotty Hard Trust, a fund set up by friends of music producer Scott Harding who suffered serious injuries in a car crash that has left him fully paralyzed. Monies will go to alleviate Harding’s short-term financial needs as he, like many musicians, lacks health insurance and faces mounting medical bills. Portions will also be donated to the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, a charity that aids career musicians facing financial hardship due to illness, disability, or age-related problems. TV On The Radio will be donating a portion of their fee to both organizations. Tickets go on-sale beginning May 8th.

The band has also released Read Silence, a digital EP that features remixes of three tracks from their critically acclaimed current album Dear Science. Read Silence is now available from all digital service providers.

Released by DGC/Interscope on September 23rd, Dear Science was named Album of the Year by Rolling Stone, Spin, and The New York Times, and claimed the top spot on Pitchfork’s 2008 Reader’s Poll. The Associated Press called TV On The Radio, “the most vital, current band in America.”

About The Scotty Hard Trust: At 3 am on Saturday, February 16, 2008, musician/producer Scotty Hard was the victim of a car crash in which he was a passenger of a car service, returning home from a late-night mixing session. The cab he was riding in was broadsided by a purportedly stolen car; the impact crushed Harding’s T5 vertebrae, leaving him paralyzed and in a wheelchair. He underwent spinal fusion surgery, and spent the next 6 months in the hospital. He continues to maintain a vigorous rehabilitation program, and hopes to one day walk again, but has been given a very doubtful prognosis. Scott's condition is serious and like many dedicated musicians he was without health insurance and is facing very large medical and legal fees. The short-term need to raise cash in order to handle Scott Harding’s affairs is very real. His friends and the dedicated musical community that Scott has long been a part of quickly united, offering performances in the form of a benefit concert for The Scotty Hard Trust, a special account that has been set up by friends of Harding which helps to handle Scott’s short-term financial needs through private monetary donations. Personal donations can be made directly to the Scotty Hard Trust, payable to "The Scotty Hard Trust” and sent c/o Heesok Chang, 970 Kent Ave #401, Brooklyn NY 11205 www.scottyhardtrust.com/
