Sweet Relief working with Music Industry to aid Lester Chambers

A campaign to assist the great Lester Chambers of “The Chambers Brothers” fame is underway with the assistance of Sweet Relief and his many friends and fans in the music industry.  Lester Chambers has had a 50+year career in music and was part of one of the most important and influential rock groups of the 60’s, The Chambers Brothers. He is best known for the classic, “Time Has Come Today” as well as many terrific singles and albums.  The Chambers Brothers were one of the first multi ethnic rock groups and pioneered a sound that has been the basis for many followers.

Lester is facing health challenges with eye tumors and the need for dental reconstruction.  Sadly, Lester and his terrific wife Lola experienced the recent loss of their home.  He has gained the support of several of the greatest names in entertainment and an effort to create a live performance benefit is currently in development.  Lester has worked hard and lived a healthy life throughout his 70 years.  Unfortunately he has been unable to obtain rightful royalties and the sufficient pension he had worked so hard for.

If you wish to contribute to the fund for Lester Chambers please send a check to Sweet Relief Musicians Fund / Lester Chambers or access the donation feature online at www.sweetrelief.org and enter “Lester Chambers” in the “In Honor” of section.
