We are also flattered and gratified when supporters conduct their own fundraisers for us, and will post news about these events on our website and/or myspace site.

We believe that charity need not involve soggy hankies or rubber chicken dinners and are known industry-wide for our unique, nontraditional approach to special events and fundraisers. Sweet Relief hosts concerts, parties, auctions and other events throughout the year. We've earned a reputation for putting a twist on tired old fashioned can-rattling. Most importantly, we are cautious about keeping our costs to an absolute minimum so the funds that are raised go directly to the musicians who need our help.
NEWS
Tegan and Sara
Sweet Relief is lucky to have friends like Tegan and Sara. They have been consistent supporters of the fund, and we thank them for donating a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales for their sold-out concert at the Glass House in Pomona, CA on April 23, 2008. Watch for our Tegan and Sara auctions of tickets and meet & greet passes at www.ebay.com/sweetrelief.

X The Band
It's always cool when a band gets behind a cause, and that's just what iconic punk rockers X have done for Sweet Relief. The original line-up of John Doe, Exene, Billy Zoom and D.J. Bonebrake is touring the country and Sweet Relief has tickets! Ticket packages for the band's 13 - 31 Tour include an autographed copy of the 2-disc CD set "X The Best Make the Music Go Bang," and are up for bid on ebay. For more information, and to see current auctions, please go to www.ebay.com/sweetrelief.

Good Neighbors
Since 2005 Sweet Relief's offices have been located in a converted Italianate "bungalow" in Pasadena. We share the second floor with a few kick-ass charities, one of which is the Pasadena Arts Council, headed by the fabulous and brilliant Terry LeMoncheck. Terry chose to highlight Sweet Relief's efforts in the Arts Council's current newsletter, which was a blessing for us. Not only was this a generous gesture by a neighbor, but a superb introduction to arts supporters in our own community. To learn more about arts here in lively Pasadena check out www.pasadenaartscouncil.org

Thank you, Terry.
