Proceeds from the show will benefit Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, who provide services and financial assistance for career musicians and music industry professionals. Founded in 1994 as a 501-C3 non-profit, Sweet Relief has helped countless members of the music community who are struggling to make ends meet while facing physical or mental health issues, disability, or age-related problems. New York, NY (June 20, 2025) - After releasing a limited amount of vinyl as part of this year’s Record Store Day, celebrated on April 12, Flatiron Recordings released Sweet Relief - We Can Help compilation on CD and all digital streaming platforms today, featuring legendary artists including Ben Harper and Peter Case, Sixpence None The Richer, Lucinda Williams + many more, benefiting Sweet Relief Musicians Fund. Sweet Relief Musicians Fund provides services and financial assistance for career musicians and music industry professionals. Grants are earmarked for medical and vital living expenses, including insurance premiums, prescriptions, medical treatment and operative procedures, housing costs, food costs, utilities, and other basic necessities. Peter Case shares “Ben Harper had come down to help me make my HWY 62 album. One day we were singing this great Beatles song and Sheldon recorded it…one of the hardest things to do in life is ask for help…it makes you very vulnerable, but sometimes you gotta. God bless Sweet Relief and everyone who helps hard hit people in this very difficult and divisive time”. “I was honored to help Peter with this cover of “Help”. Prior to hitting streaming platforms, as part of the limited Record Store Day release, the first track off the 18-track compilation “Hallelujah! I’m A Bum”, initially recorded by Harry McClintock in 1928, now performed by Michael Penn & Aimee Mann, was released on digital platforms. In addition, music industry veteran, Peter Holsapple released his reimagined version of Billy Swan’s “I Can Help”, the song that inspired the album title, as well as Sixpence None The Richer reimagining “The Needle and the Damage Done”, originally performed by Neil Young. The standout item was the "Don't Stop Believin'" handwritten lyrics, which went for $43,500.
Darkives Collectibles curated over 50 pieces from Perry's personal archives to give fans the opportunity to add never-before-available, unique, signed, graded, and collectible items to their own collections. Items in the auction include Handwritten Lyrics from classic Journey songs, Perry's own Gold & Platinum Records, Vintage Tour merch incl. T-Shirts & Tour Programs, a custom Journey Vehicle Registration Plate signed by Perry, signed studio-used instruments, and Signed Vinyl Test Pressings, LPs, CDs & Cassettes, all graded and authenticated in partnership with Audio Media Grading (AMG).
