Jesse Malin made his Los Angeles return last Friday (July 24th), and the Sweet Relief team (West Coast edition) all made it out for the special occasion Jesse and his band put on a show to remember, and we're so grateful to have been there!  On July 24th, Lou Koller passed away after a long battle with Adenocarcinoma (esophageal cancer). We send our condolences and love to his family and friends. His passing is a great loss to the music community and to all the lives he touched.
This fund will stay active to support Lou's family. On this day 33 years ago, "Sweet Relief: A Benefit for Victoria Williams" was released! This album helped raise emergency funds for Victoria after she was diagnosed with MS, and featured Pearl Jam, Soul Asylum, Lucinda Williams, Lou Reed, and many more. Victoria understood the unique struggles musicians faced and donated some of her proceeds from the album to found Sweet Relief Musicians Fund! We've continued her mission for all these years to make sure people in the music industry have resources when they need it most. |
