New York, NY (June 20, 2025) - After releasing a limited amount of vinyl as part of this year’s Record Store Day, celebrated on April 12, Flatiron Recordings  released Sweet Relief - We Can Help compilation on CD and all digital streaming platforms today, featuring legendary artists including Ben Harper and Peter Case, Sixpence None The Richer, Lucinda Williams + many more, benefiting Sweet Relief Musicians Fund.

Sweet Relief Musicians Fund provides services and financial assistance for career musicians and music industry professionals. Grants are earmarked for medical and vital living expenses, including insurance premiums, prescriptions, medical treatment and operative procedures, housing costs, food costs, utilities, and other basic necessities.

Peter Case shares “Ben Harper had come down to help me make my HWY 62 album. One day we were singing this great Beatles song and Sheldon recorded it…one of the hardest things to do in life is ask for help…it makes you very vulnerable, but sometimes you gotta. God bless Sweet Relief and everyone who helps hard hit people in this very difficult and divisive time”.

“I was honored to help Peter with this cover of “Help”. I’m hoping he’ll help me write a song” Ben Harper adds.

Prior to hitting streaming platforms, as part of the limited Record Store Day release, the first track off the 18-track compilation “Hallelujah! I’m A Bum”, initially recorded by Harry McClintock in 1928, now performed by Michael Penn & Aimee Mann, was released on digital platforms. In addition, music industry veteran, Peter Holsapple released his reimagined version of Billy Swan’s “I Can Help”, the song that inspired the album title, as well as Sixpence None The Richer reimagining “The Needle and the Damage Done”, originally performed by Neil Young.

Limited edition Record Store Day 2025 copies of the vinyl still available for sale.
