The Music Community has lost several iconic figures from Michael Jackson to Chris Cornell. These losses have been felt on a global scale. Depression, Anxiety and Substance Abuse affect Rock Fans and Rock Bands alike. Alarmingly, the impact of these issues can be debilitating to the point of death or suicide. Money, Fame nor the Adulation from millions of adoring fans can lessen the impact of these devastating illnesses. In fact, though many fans would believe that these Rockstars have the ideal life, these factors can have the opposite effect of isolation, embarrassment and the fear of being ridiculed. These issues hurt deeply enough. Having your emotional state broadcasted as the big story on the news can be enough to put anyone over the edge. The Rock Collective is a Community of mutually supportive Rock n’ Roll Bands and Artists who are committed to supporting each other and growing together. Our bands collaborate, share ideas, play live shows together and support each other through times of adversity. Many within our community have dealt with Depression and Anxiety and know firsthand how horrible it can feel. As a result, the Bands/Artists within The Rock Collective feel compelled to do what they can to help. The Los Angeles Rock Collective has partnered with Sweet Relief Musicians Fund and the Check Your Head Podcast to raise funds and awareness around Mental Health as well as support their brothers and sisters within the Music Community. On April 24th, 2022, The Los Angeles Rock Collective will pay Tribute to those Artists who have inspired us. Our bands will each pick an Artist that has deeply inspired them and offer a cover of that Artist’s music.
