Sweet Relief Musician’s Fund was contacted by the loving family of Stanley Bronstein in an effort to find support for this great contributor to American music and culture.
Stanley’s career in music provided him with the opportunity to play with such great artists as Tommy Dorsey, Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, and John Lennon and Yoko Ono Lennon. As a member of The Plastic Ono Band Elephants Memory, Stanley performed the One To One concert to benefit handicapped children and now Sweet Relief is reaching out to the music community to provide Stanley with the same kind of support.
Yoko Ono Lennon, who has offered her assistance, had this to say about Stanley Bronstein:

He is also good hearted, and makes his band follow his lead with spirit of fun and joy. His reliable presence affected the performance of both John and I as well. We both loved and respected him.”

Stanley has undergone chemotherapy and brain surgery and is challenged to work as a musician and earn a living, which in turn prohibits him from moving closer to his family. Stanley’s financial situation has become increasingly difficult as his social security and disability does not cover basic living expenses.
