April 24Rock Collective presents: Rock for life
The Music Community has lost several iconic figures from Michael Jackson to Chris Cornell. These losses have been felt on a global scale. Depression, Anxiety and Substance Abuse affect Rock Fans and Rock Bands alike. Alarmingly, the impact of these issues can be debilitating to the point of death or suicide. Money, Fame nor the Adulation from millions of adoring fans can lessen the impact of these devastating illnesses. In fact, though many fans would believe that these Rockstars have the ideal life, these factors can have the opposite effect of isolation, embarrassment and the fear of being ridiculed. These issues hurt deeply enough. Having your emotional state broadcasted as the big story on the news can be enough to put anyone over the edge. The Rock Collective is a Community of mutually supportive Rock n’ Roll Bands and Artists who are committed to supporting each other and growing together. Our bands collaborate, share ideas, play live shows together and support each other through times of adversity. Many within our community have dealt with Depression and Anxiety and know firsthand how horrible it can feel. As a result, the Bands/Artists within The Rock Collective feel compelled to do what they can to help. The Los Angeles Rock Collective has partnered with Sweet Relief Musicians Fund and the Check Your Head Podcast to raise funds and awareness around Mental Health as well as support their brothers and sisters within the Music Community. On April 24th, 2022, The Los Angeles Rock Collective will pay Tribute to those Artists who have inspired us. Our bands will each pick an Artist that has deeply inspired them and offer a cover of that Artist’s music. |

June, 2020
june 29+30, 2020The Ladybug Festival
The Ladybug Festival is the largest celebration of women in music in America. Started in 2012 by Gayle Dillman and Jeremy Hebbel (Gable Music Ventures), the idea was to offer an alternative to Firefly Festival that was focussed on local independent artists, and free for the community to attend. Michael and Debbie Schwartz, owners of the popular Shops and Lofts at 2nd & LOMA, engaged Gable Music Ventures to throw a live music block party for their tenants shortly after Firefly was announced. Gable used the timing of the request to put on the first ever “Ladybug Festival” featuring an all female lineup of artists local to the Wilmington/Philadelphia music scene. The event was well received, with approximately 300 attendees packing five of the businesses on LOMA leading to a huge boost in business for the restaurants and shops that participated. Siezing on the positive response, Gayle and Jeremy decided they would hold the evet annually. Over time outdoor stages were added, more artists every were added every year, including eventually nationally known acts. This growth would not have been possible without the support of the community, and the sponsors that came on board, specifically the local Kenny Family ShopRite stores, and Chase bank who's presenting sponsorship in 2017 helped the event grow to a two day long event featuring 75 artists. june 13, 2020The Happys
