I've been on a few tours now and here is something I noticed: Most people are cool if you're cool and if they're not cool when you're being cool to them and they're consistently in a permanent state of not cool maybe they're just not a happy human and you should just let them have that LOL.

Go be your happy unicorn self anyway and find other cool people to spend time with. People that are happy to be there. Maybe it's the new person. Sure, maybe they're only happy because "they don't know how this goes yet" BUT that doesn't mean they don't genuinely feel like a kid in a candy store and that might be helpful to be around. Good for the soul. A reminder of what it's like to fall in love with tour life. And if it's a bad day, and no one's cool, maybe it's just a bad day and that's all it needs to be?

Take a second to yourself. Re-center. Walk away. Tomorrow is a new town, a new venue, a new chance for the day to not suck. What do you do with tough people or tough days or tough people on tough days?

Thanks Eva!
This a reminds me of two sayings I always try to remember…
“Stick with the winners” and “This too shall pass”

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve said “this too shall pass” this week!

Hello amazing Eva!! Thank you so much for starting this blog. 2022 was a rough year for me and I ended up making BIG changes to my life because of what I went through. I have been teaching middle school for 21 years, of which 20 were at the same school, same classroom. I had been begging for a change in scenery for years, but to no avail. I had a major anxiety attack at school in February 2022. My therapist and I agreed that I need to take time off from teaching to focus on my mental health. I ended up taking 8 weeks off. During the 8 weeks off, I admitted myself to inpatient care to get back on my feet. It helped tremendously! But that best thing that I did for myself was to apply for a new teaching job in a neighboring school district. I am on month 8 at my new school and I am in a much better place mentally. I had to make that change for me. My old school was too negative and was draining me. I am glad that I made that change. Days are looking better and better!
