Now many months strong, our partnership with Soundwaves Art has been an incredible source of fundraising and we're beyond grateful for the work they are doing to help Sweet Relief's mission continue. So many amazing #SweetSupporters have teamed up with Soundwaves to create beautiful, limited edition, pieces of art. One of the latest additions is the above piece created from the sound waves of AWOLNATION’s triple-platinum single “Sail.”  Each piece will be hand signed and titled by Aaron Bruno and Soundwaves Art creator, Tim Wakefield.

Andrew Bird is an internationally acclaimed musician, songwriter and composer who has released fifteen records to date. Recording and touring extensively, Bird has performed around the world at festivals and renowned institutions including Carnegie Hall, Sydney Opera House and Walt Disney Concert Hall. A TED Talks presenter, a New Yorker Festival guest, and an op-ed contributor for the New York Times, Bird will also debut on the cast of Fargo’s forthcoming installment, airing on FX later this year. Bird's latest album, My Finest Work Yet, was nominated for “Best Folk Album” at the 2020 Grammy Awards.

Mindfulness is an incredibly liberating practice; one that has exploded as a recent phenomenon in the western world. Interestingly, us moderns are the last people on the planet to uncover the wealth of treasures it has to offer.
Music and mindfulness are indeed complementary practices. Music and sounds make a wonderful object of focus for the mind, with mindful listening proven to boost our overall wellbeing and reduce stress significantly.
Whilst mindfulness is still finding its way into mainstream culture, music is universal and plays a prominent role in everyday life for most people. Humans are surrounded by music. It is undeniable that it affects people’s moods and emotions, as it engages broad neural networks in the brain.

Singer and composer Mary Lambert wants you to know it’s okay to cry. In fact, she’ll probably be crying too. Lambert, who rose to fame in 2012 while juggling multiple food service jobs, is best known for her heart-wrenching work on the marriage equality anthem “Same Love,” from the Grammy-winning Macklemore & Ryan Lewis album, The Heist. Writing and singing the hook to “Same Love” led to two Grammy nominations for “Song of The Year” and “Album of The Year,” and her pop career flourished after signing to Capitol Records. Her confessional tongue-in-cheek single, “Secrets,” shot to No. 1 on the Billboard Dance charts, and was certified RIAA Gold in 2015. Sweet Relief has been helping musicians and music industry workers for several years. Before the global coronavirus pandemic, our mission was to help those that were struggling with illness, disease, and age-related problems by paying medical bills and other vital living expenses. We believe that music makes our lives, and the events in our lives, special and memorable. Because of this, we want to heal and help those that make music possible. 

Due to the pandemic, the music industry as we know it shut down completely. We at Sweet Relief realized early on that there was going to be countless musicians and industry workers that would be out of work for the unforeseeable future. Knowing this, we created the COVID-19 Fund to help those that would lose money due to massive cancelations of concerts, festivals, and tours. 

Although a large portion of the music industry is still shut down, there are a few ways for musicians to make money during this troubling time.
