There are several ways you can help raise funds for those in need during this uncertain time. But sometimes, YOU are the one in need.
We're encouraging anyone that needs help, or wants to help in their home town, to create a Peer-To-Peer campaign. This platform will give you a personalized landing page and URL that can be shared around to your community, family, and friends. Please note that 20% of all funds raised with your Peer-To-Peer campaign will be earmarked for all other musicians applying for COVID-19 aid. If you've applied for a grant and fall below the allotted grant amount ($400), you will still be eligible for an emergency grant. In these unprecedented times, the music community has once again stepped up to help those that are struggling. Currently, we're seeing a large amount of tour and concert cancellations that are leading to complete loss of income for many in the industry. Our COVID-19 Fund was created to help those affected.
A lot of you have inquired about setting up Facebook Fundraisers for us during this Covid-19 crisis so we created these step-by-step directions so you can create your own Fundraiser in the most effective way possible. See below! The world has been shocked by the devastating effects of COVID-19. We are aware of the enormous medical and financial burden that COVID-19 is having on the music community and we are actively taking steps to provide assistance where it’s needed most. Due to massive cancellations, artists are struggling to find the means to make ends meet during these unprecedented times.
Sweet Relief is here to provide immediate assistance and we have created a DONOR-DIRECTED FUND with a limited amount of funds available to be used specifically for musicians and music industry workers affected by the Coronavirus. Funds raised will go towards medical expenses, lodging, clothing, food and other vital living expenses to those impacted due to sickness or loss of work. To learn more about the fund, and how you can help, please visit the COVID-19 FUND page. Seann McKeel was recently diagnosed with HER-2 Positive breast cancer, an aggressive form of cancer. Fortunately, the diagnosis came fairly early and she will begin three months of chemotherapy.
Unfortunately, the monetary cost of cancer is significant. With ongoing visits to an oncologist, the surgeon, and her primary care doctor, the financial burden will continue to grow. Please click below to learn more about Seann and how you can help 🙏 Hey! Tyler here from Tyler’s Butt Wax. For the entire month of March, I will be donating 100% of Tyler’s Butt Wax website sales to Sweet Relief's General Fund. The General Fund provides financial assistance to all types of career musicians who are struggling to make ends meet while facing illness, disability, or age-related problems. That means your 9 dollar purchase of Tyler’s Butt Wax in the month of March will be a 9 dollar donation to someone in need. And you’ll get some awesome drumstick grip wax in the process! Visit our webstore to learn more about Tyler’s Butt Wax and Sweet Relief, to make a donation, or to read about my inspiration for throwing this event.
